The Road to Equal Justice in Boston took place virtually over 3 weeks in May 2021 with 68 participants from 30 Boston-based organizations. Week 1 focused on data collection, analysis, and visualization strategies. Week 2 was focused on media and social media strategies and Week 3 was about technology for civil liberties and security. The 30 organizations represented at least 35,000 constituents in Boston.

Top issues: Economic justice, education, and criminal justice reform

Top technology needs: Survey/Data Collection, Data Visualization, and Social Media Strategies

Notable participants: Kade Crockford from the ACLU, Boston Foundation, Isabel Pinheiro from WITNESS, and Ashley Reid, formerly of Hootsuite.
